Bad Movies versus Dad Movies

So I am sure that its because I am going to be a father soon, but I have noticed that I cant watch movies where a child dies or a couple is separated. Its too damn sad to me. It freaks me out to think of something happening to Jen or to Connor. I know most parents must feel this but its the first time that I've had these feelings this strongly. Its odd, but I am ok with it.
