Not sure what to write here....

So I will write nonsense until something actually spills out...

So what is new with me? I have been working on research as of late and work for the NSF grant, etc. Research seems to be going well. I have made some good leaps in my work and am currently writing up my theorems, though Dr. G is very attentive to details, which means I need to go back and constantly edit my stuff, however this makes me a better mathematician (I never spell that correctly). Graded k*-algebra homomorphisms, Hom-sets, Functors, Categories and objects, simplical complexes, etc etc etc..... I should be done at the end of this coming semester and then who knows what? I am applying to grad schools and I will also be looking for jobs in some sort of analysis or the like... but like I said who knows? It would be nice to have money though, especially since little man is so damn expensive!

In other news there are people camping out in Snow Park for the Occupy Oakland campaign which I believe in the general front, but there is a lack of cohesiveness and philosophy etc that leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Not to mention that the people "Occupying" dont represent the 99% of Oakland that they are claiming to. All the people there are either from Santa Cruz, Berkeley or SF and are white hippies. It's a rarity to see people of color there or at most of the Occupy movements across the US, the world not so much.... But like I said my thoughts around this are very muddled, since I believe the movement is also muddled. Maybe Ill post more on this later...

What else what else? I have been asked to help teach judo to the little kids at the dojo and I couldnt be happier about it. I have always loved teaching martial arts especially, since this is originally how I got into education. Even if I dont go on to Academia I still want to teach, at least judo. The dojo is like another family to me, much like the climbing community is, even though I've been a bad family member and had to suspend my gym membership due to lack of time and money and general lack of interest. Climbing and the rocks arent going anywhere and as per the usual I wax and wane with all things. Though I have gotten back into climbing trad, which I think will be my normal means of climbing from here on out. It's much easier on the knees! Damn that sounded old!

What else, what else. Oh Uncle Mickey passed away the other week. That was weird to hear. He had been in his house and had apparently fallen out of bed and couldnt get up and basically died over the next day. They think it was cancer ultimately that took him since he was too weak and out of it to get to a phone. Donna found him in the house curled up in a little ball. The funeral was a cremation with only immediate family. Needless to say it was sad and I guess I havent thought about it much over the past few weeks. Ill stop writing about it as well....
